Charley Petty, 86, of 102 Cam Place, died May 18, 2012, at Hospice of Cleveland County. He served in the Army. He is survived by his wife, Barbara George Petty; his sister, Essie Petty Elmore; daughter, Vanessa Adkinson of Maryland; granddaughter, Chanel Adkinson and grandson, Johnathan James Adkinson Maryland; great-grandchildren, Prince Wright and Aiyana Adkinson; stepson, Eugene George; step-grandson, Sincere Love; special niece, Dorothy Elmore, special nephew, Michael Ross, and special friend, Keith Blye He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawyer Tack and Lizzie Surratt Petty; sisters Vermel Petty and Parlee Petty, and brothers, Henry, Orce Gilbert, TC Jim and EH Petty.
